Compass Pointe awarded magazine’s ‘Best Neighborhood’ designation
Compass Pointe will be featured in Where to Retire magazine.
LELAND — Compass Pointe has been awarded a Best Neighborhood designation by Where to Retire magazine.
The magazine is geared toward assisting people who are making retirement location decisions. The Best Neighborhood award “recognizes outstanding master-planned and active-adult communities,” according to a news release.
“Its 10,000-square-foot Grand Lanai clubhouse features many amenities, including a kitchen, outdoor pool and views of Cardinal Lake, where kayaking is popular,” said Annette Fuller, the magazine’s editor. “In addition, golfers speak very highly of a new 18-hole course. One happy retiree from Connecticut told our writer, ‘There is a feeling of being at home.’”
To be considered for the award, communities have to be actively selling homes and have many amenities in place within the neighborhood.
A profile story about Compass Pointe will be featured in the magazine’s September/October 2017 issue, which will be available nationwide Aug. 8.
Where to Retire has a national circulation of 200,000 and is sold at Barnes & Noble bookstores and various newsstands.
