My wife and I just returned from the grand opening of the new amenity center. Quite honestly, it far exceeded our expectations and the future holds even more excitement. The beautiful pool, wonderful cabanas, and breath-taking landscaping, make for a wonderful resort in an already fabulous community. We can’t wait to return.

Building a new home 600 miles from our current home could have been intimidating, but all of the staff at Compass Pointe made it easy to realize our dream. We simply want to praise one and all for a wonderful experience. From the first contact with PJ, to the final visit with John, the sales staff couldn’t have been more cooperative, supportive and understanding. We were most impressed with the quality of work by Logan Homes. The staff at Logan Homes was very knowledgeable and I reserve a special thanks to our builder Dave Logan for his hard work and attention to detail. For anyone looking for a great place to build, we enthusiastically recommend Compass Pointe. It already feels like home.

We have always been treated professionally and with courtesy by you and the staff. Ginny and I have talked about our first visit and how each subsequent visit exceeded our expectations. Now, here is how we feel about the Pool Party June 24 and 25.

The invitation e-mail for Ahhmenities Pool Opening Celebration was for June 23, we could only come on Friday 6/24. We called you, Alan, and you asked Stacey Fleming to help us. The help of Stacey was super, we received an e-mail on 6/4 confirmed the special - Compass Pointe 2 night stay at Best Western and the Friday 6/24 Pool Party. We were delighted and made plans. Then:

- PJ sent an e-mail to assure all was ready for us, and it made us feel ‘special’. Thanks PJ.

- We arrived 6/24 (which was my birthday), the Compass Pointe Welcome Gift was waiting for us. A very nice welcoming extra treat. Also a schedule for transportation to and back from the Pool Party, as well as two tickets for a Willmington tour (yes we did that on Sunday). All of these specials exceeded our expectations.

- At about 7:15pm 6/24 arrived at the Ahhmenities. The two large tents did not reveal the pool area. We were warmly greeted, walked through to look and first impression “WOW” beautiful! Everything ‘First Class’. People and staff exceptionally warm greetings, courteous, friendly; felt like family. The evening of the 24th just kept getting better. (It will be a long time superb birthday memory for me - Richard.)

We came back on Saturday, 6/25 around 3 pm. The Ahhmenities Area, Pool, Cabanas, decoration, Landscaping, Beach continued to “WOW” us. We took picture and sent them to family and friends.

Thank you Alan, Stacey, PJ, the Logans and all involved. We are happy and proud to be a part of the Compass Pointe Family and to see the success of the area.

Compass Pointe was new and had plenty to choose from in terms of type of properties (lots of natural habitat, waterfronts, and golf course properties) and in different price ranges. Also had a nice variety of type of houses you could build. HOA very reasonable. A great buy! The amentities I most look forward to are workout room at the Ahh-Menity Center, the lazy river, and the walking trails. I can’t thank the Compass Pointe staff enough for all that they have done to put us in our home. We are so happy here. Excited from the beginning! Compass Pointe has shown they care with the quality of people who work with them. Hoping everyone at Compass Pointe had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday
and to a Joyful Holiday season. Gretchen and I just wanted to thank
all of you for a wonderful weekend at Shell Island Resort in early
November. We stayed a couple extra days to discover Wilmington and
Pleasure Island south of Wrightsville Beach. We obtained a lot of
valuable information concerning CP. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing a
number of home models and having a lot of our questions answered. We
want to thank the Compass Pointe staff for their kindness and
patience during our visit. We also enjoyed talking to a number of
people from other areas of the country as well as those who have called
CP “home”.

We loved the home models that were shown to us and the progress being
made at Compass Pointe. Again thank all of you for a “memorable”
week in the Wilmington area.

We were greatly impressed by the amenities offered as well as the charm of the layout of the community. We envision it to be like living in a resort community but close to the city and all it offers. We looked at other communities in the area but selected Compass Pointe because of its location and site plan. The first things we noticed was the beautiful entrance and the waterways throughout the community. We are looking forward to enjoying the golf course.

There is obviously a good deal of risk involved in today’s economy when venturing into a brand new community such as this. We have confidence in the developers and in the sale-ability of the community.

We really like the proximity of Compass Pointe to the downtown Wilmington area and to the area beaches. Additionally, we really like everything Compass Pointe offers as a community. We also liked that the developers have done other work in the area and we were able to visit another one of those communities that was already completed.

The landscaping of the entrance and common areas are absolutely beautiful. In particular, some of the palm trees that were put in made the community feel very established, even though it was in the early days of opening. Having come to the site from the downtown discovery area where we reviewed the artist’s renderings and maps, it was impressive to see how the already completed sections of Compass Pointe reflected the vision in those renderings. Now as owners, this gives us a lot of confidence and excitement about the future and seeing the remaining sections in that vision become real.

Even with the present state of the economy, we felt it wasn’t a big risk, knowing the success, background and quality of the developers and builder. We were most impressed with the price. After researching the shoreline communities and General Contractor Builders in North Carolina, my wife and I decided that our preference would be to locate a gated community in close proximity to the Wilmington area. Compass Pointe was one of the developments we chose to visit. As soon as we entered the property and passed through the East gate we were most impressed with the topography of the land and the beautiful and well-designed waterways.

Compass Pointe is by far the most desirable gated community we researched in the Wilmington are with every possible amenity and is only a short 15 minute drive to the various beaches.

I would also like to acknowledge Logan Homes as the “Premier Builder” for the quality of their work and their extreme attention to detail during the construction of our new home. From our initial meeting with D Logan who clearly laid out the process and construction milestones; to Paula Herring who worked diligently with us during the selection process in choosing the various options of our home; to David Logans’ weekly detailed updates keeping us informed in terms of the construction progress to complete the project approximately 3 weeks ahead of the initial project schedule. Joann and I are very grateful for their efforts and are extremely please with the results.
